Amazon has slashed the price of one of its best-selling smartwatches. The bargain timepiece has been described by happy customers as “better than an Apple Watch” and is currently available for under £40.

The Enomir Smart Watch is usually priced at £59.99 but is now down to £39.99, with a third cut off the RRP. The Enomir watch is compatible with both iOS and Android devices and offers many of the same features as pricier models.

Just like smartwatches from big names like Apple and Samsung, you can make and receive calls via Bluetooth directly from your wrist with the Enomir.

The Enomir Smart Watch’s basic functions include setting alarms and timers, controlling music, checking the weather and receiving social media notifications, but it also doubles as a health and fitness tracker with heart rate, blood oxygen and sleep monitoring.

It’s water resistant and supports tracking with over 100 sport modes to provide data such as calories, steps, distance and workout time. This handy gadget can run for up to seven days on a single charge – or 25 days on standby – and can be personalised by adding your favourite photo to its 1.8inch HD screen, reports Cheshire Live.

The Enomir Smart Watch, which comes in three different colourways, has garnered a 4.1-star rating from over 1,900 reviews on Amazon, with 1,469 praising it with four or five stars. Shoppers have hailed it as “fantastic” for the price, with some even saying it more than competes with big brands.

One person said: “Better than an Apple Watch. Had less than 12 hours and so far it does everything my Apple Watch does and even tracks my steps properly. Screen is bigger and better too. I love it.”

Another enthused: “Fantastic watch, especially for the price. It does everything it says it should. Links easily to the iPhone. The battery life between charges is impressive, given it is worn every day and night. Excellent watch.”

A third happy customer added: “Great smartwatch. Easy to use, packed full of handy features and water resistant as well, great app also which is very comprehensive and informative.

“Nice that it gets all your notifications, email, text messages etc. You can even answer and make calls. At this price it’s an absolute bargain. Very good battery life [of] seven to 10 days too.”

Yet, not everyone was convinced by the Enomir watch. One critical buyer wrote: “Cheap and cheerful. Alexa doesn’t work unless you are logged into the app on your phone at the same time, which is pretty much pointless as you can use your phone. I used it for one week then bought an Apple Watch.”

For those who fancy a high-end watch from Apple or Samsung but don’t want to pay in one go, it’s worth having a gander at Sky Mobile’s latest offers which allow you to spread the cost of a new gadget. Bargain hunters can grab the Samsung Galaxy Watch7 for £9 a month or the Apple Watch Series 10 for £13, both with zero upfront cost.

This is a cracking way to nab a new device without splashing out hundreds all at once, but bear in mind you’re committing to a 36-month contract. Shorter terms of 12 or 24 months are on offer, with the price you shell out depending on the duration of the plan.
