The SNP Government’s Budget will pass after securing the support of the Scottish Lib Dems, the Record understands.
Alex Cole-Hamilton, who leads the party in Scotland, will announce the backing this morning.
It means First Minister John Swinney’s debut Budget since taking over as First Minister will definitely pass.
Labour have indicated they will abstain, but the Lib Dems will provide positive support.
In a tweet, Scottish Green MSP Ross Greer also said his party would vote for the Budget.
They said they secured changes including boosting free school meals as well as a trial for capping bus fares.
The Budget restores winter fuel payments for older people axed by the Labour Government and reverses housing cuts made by ex SNP First Minister Humza Yousaf.
The Budget also sets the Government on the path to scrap the two child benefit cap and provides billions of pounds extra for the NHS.
Swinney used a speech at the New Year to call for opposition parties to back a Budget delivered by finance secretary Shona Robison.
