AUSTIN, Texas — Texas Lottery officials said the drawing for Monday night’s Lotto Texas was for the biggest jackpot on the planet. And when no one won it, it got even bigger.
Nobody matched all six numbers Monday night in a Lotto Texas drawing worth an estimated $73.5 million. Now, Wednesday’s Lotto Texas drawing is worth an estimated $73.75 million. That’s more than the $44 million jackpot up for grabs in Tuesday night’s Mega Millions drawing and the $69 million for Thursday’s Powerball drawing.
It’s also the eighth largest Lotto Texas jackpot in the game’s history. This one’s still got a ways to go to become the biggest Lotto Texas jackpot ever. That was $145 million, which was won back on June 19, 2004, by someone who bought a ticket in El Paso.
