Two women have been arrested in connection with the disappearance of a 14-year-old Long Island girl who went missing for 25 days, bringing the total number of suspects in the case to seven.
Jacquelyn Comiskey, 52, and Elizabeth Hunter, 34, made their first court appearances Tuesday on charges of child sex trafficking, Newsday reported. Cops said the two women took sexually explicit photos of the girl, then advertised her to men in exchange for drugs and money.
Both women pleaded not guilty.
The teenager was taken from her home in East Patchogue on Dec. 9. The Daily News is not identifying her because she’s a minor and alleged victim of sexual assault.
Nearly one month later, the girl’s father burst into a boat docked in Islip and found his daughter. No one else was onboard the boat at the time.
Since then, cops have rounded up a series of suspects in connection with the girl’s disappearance. The boat’s owner, Francis Buckheit, was the first person arrested on charges of first-degree kidnapping.
Four more men — Bunice Knight, Alton Harrell, Daniel Burke and Robert Eccleston — have since been arrested in the case.
Elizabeth Hunter is accused of spending a week on the boat with Burkheit and the girl, and taking the explicit photos, Newsday reported. Comiskey is accused of transporting the victim to Knight’s house in exchange for crack cocaine.
