Two Dumfries and Galloway schools are shut for a third day due to power cuts caused by Storm Eowyn.

Colvend and Cummertrees Primaries remain closed as engineers try to restore power.

Colvend pupils can go to partner school Kirkgunzeon Primary, with Cummertrees youngsters advised to attend Carrutherstown Primary.

All schools in Dumfries and Galloway were closed on Friday after the Met Office issued a red weather warning for Storm Eowyn.

Most schools reopened on Monday, with nine remaining closed due to a lack of power.

All but Colvend and Cummertrees reopened on Tuesday.

Scottish Power Energy Networks revealed on Tuesday that around 800 properties across Dumfries and Galloway are still without power.
