Austin police are still investigating the city’s third deadly crash this year.

AUSTIN, Texas — Police have identified the victim who died this week in Austin’s third deadly crash of the year.

According to the Austin Police Department (APD), 47-year-old Jarren T. Wallingsford was killed after a two-vehicle collision on Monday at East Parmer Lane and Samsung Boulevard in northeast Austin.

Austin-Travis County EMS (ATCEMS) crews responded around 7:03 a.m. on Monday to the crash, located at the intersection of the two roadways.

Once on scene, they tried to revive Wallingsford, but were unable to do so. Another victim was injured and transported to a hospital in Round Rock, but their identity has not been shared with the public.

APD said this is an ongoing investigation, and information is subject to change.

So far this year, three people have died in Austin as a result of deadly collisions.
