Former Strictly Come Dancing star Giovanni Pernice has spoken about the prospect of settling down with new partner Bianca Guaccero, 44. The pair have been together for three months since their spell on Italy’s version of the competition last year.

Though things seem to be going well for the couple, Giovanni has confessed that the distance between them can sometimes be challenging. But, now living back in England and gearing up for his UK tour, the distance has been “difficult” for the pair with Bianca still stationed in Italy.

“I’m touring for the next seven months, so we’re having to make sacrifices but we’re making it work,” he told Heat Magazine.

On the subject of taking things to the next level, Giovanni remained cautious, saying “it’s never been the right time” to settle down and is still determining if Bianca might be his perfect match. “If Bianca is the right person to do this with, then I’ll do it with her,” he said. “But it’s too early for me to know that’s the case, we’ve only been together for three months.”

To mark their victory on the dance floor back in December, the duo tattooed the momentous date on their wrists. The romantic gesture followed soon after Giovanni’s departure from Strictly amid rumours circulating about his conduct offstage – allegations which he has persistently denied, reports Lancs Live.

In the midst of a nine-month investigation by the BBC, Bianca entered his life, offering him support. He recalled: “She was aware of the situation that was going on with me in the UK, but she was very supportive. She was there for me from the get-go, she was just what I needed.

“She is exactly what I wanted, a nice person next to me, I needed it. I needed the support and she has given that to me.”

In September, the BBC upheld complaints of harassment and verbal bullying against him by his 2023 celebrity partner Amanda Abbington. However, he was exonerated from accusations of physical aggression.
