Social media personality Matheus Dressler experienced a tragic accident that led to the loss of both his feet and one knee after crashing his high-performance BMW in Ribeirao Preto, northwest São Paulo.
The catastrophic incident occurred early this year on January 15, which resulted in the complete destruction of his vehicle.
As a consequence, Dressler underwent the amputation of his feet and later had his right knee amputated due to an exposed fracture.
Despite the severity of his injuries, the influencer, who has amassed a following of 228,000 on social media, has spoken out about the ordeal, expressing his relief at being alive.
He shared with his followers: “I only have one thing to say to you. I have a purpose in life. I am alive here today because of a miracle.”
In addition, a representative for Dressler provided further details regarding the events of the accident, stating: “We would like to inform everyone, especially those who are concerned about Matheus, that on January 15th he was involved in a car accident, resulting in some injuries.”
They continued: “He underwent surgery, his health is stable and he is conscious and alive. He remains under medical care, accompanied by his family and awaiting medical advice from the hospital,” reports the Mirror.
Concluding the statement, the spokesperson called for ongoing prayers for Matheus’s recovery.
They added: “We ask that you continue to pray, as he will soon return to doing what he has always loved.”
