Rabbi Matondo could be heading back to Germany after the Rangers winger was reportedly spotted in negotiations with Hannover 96.
The 24-year-old was signed from Schalke, who paid in the region of £10million to sign him from Manchester City, for around £2.5m in the summer of 2022. But the Wales winger has failed to nail down a top team place at Ibrox and boss Philippe Clement is happy to let him go in a bid to raise funds for transfers.
Hannover 96 are currently in the second tier in Germany and pushing for promotion to the Bundesliga and a picture shared on social media shows Matondo, who is attracting interest from Ajax according reports in the Netherlands, seemingly in a hotel near to Hannover’s Heinz von heiden Arena. And German outlet Bild say: “Marcus Mann (sporting director) and Glasgow Rangers are negotiating under high pressure.”
They add that a loan with or without an option or obligation to buy as well as a permanent transfer are being discussed.” Meanwhile, the Mirror report that Rangers striker Hamza Igamane will NOT be joining Everton in this transfer window after the Moroccan star was heavily linked with a move to the English Premier League outfit.
