AUSTIN, Texas — Several thousand Austin Energy customers are without power Thursday morning.
According to the company’s outage map, roughly 4,300 customers were initially impacted by the outage, which started around 6:50 a.m. in South Austin. As of 7:50 a.m., numbers have decreased to around 3,000.
The active outage appears to be impacting residents in the Scenic Brook West neighborhood, as well as those in portions of Legend Oaks and the Village at Western Oaks.
Austin Energy’s outage map shows that crews are currently assigned to address the situation, and power is expected to return around 8:23 a.m. Thursday.
The exact cause of the outage is currently unknown.
