AUSTIN, Texas — Members of the U.S. Marshals Lone Star Fugitive Task Force (LSFTF) have made five arrests in connection to a murder that happened in North Austin last November.
According to the Austin Police Department, officers responded to the Bridge at Granada apartments at 414 East Wonsley Drive at approximately 10:58 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 25.
Police arrived at the scene and located a man, identified as 20-year-old Xavier Jones Sr., with a gunshot wound inside an apartment. He died before he made it to a hospital.
According to APD, the suspects stole jewelry from Jones before fleeing the scene.
An investigation by the APD Homicide Unit identified six suspects who they allege conspired and acted with one another to commit the murder.
The Homicide Unit obtained warrants on Jan. 28 and conducted arrests all throughout the city on Jan. 29 and 30. LSFTF arrested:
- Camron Josh-Anthony Perkins, 22, of Austin, on Jan. 29 in the 1500 block of E Howard Lane.
- Lorance Jones, 22, and Rhianna Doreen Farillas, 21, of Austin, on Jan. 29 in the 1100 block of Pearl Retreat Lane.
- Jon Charles Williard Jr., 20, of Austin, on Jan. 29 in the 5900 block of E Stassney Lane.
- Judaren Makeel Forbes, 20, of Austin, on Jan. 30 at the Travis County Courthouse by the Travis County Sheriff’s Office screening deputies at the direction of the LSFTF, who learned that Forbes had a scheduled court hearing on an unrelated matter.
All five suspects were booked into the Travis County Jail.
