Yet, one avid fan of the fast food chain has revealed her technique for merging two classic McDonald’s treats into what she proclaims to be “the most delicious thing ever”.
Aliain, a social media influencer based out of Germany with a hefty following of 723,000 followers on Instagram, took to the platform to showcase her creation, which instantly captured the interest of viewers. She posted a video in which she can be seen dunking a McDonald’s Apple Pie into a McFlurry, while text layered over the clip read: “Officially the most delicious thing I’ve ever eaten at McDonald’s.”
Going further, Aliain is then depicted smashing the pie within the ice cream and blending them together to craft an incredibly appealing treat. Alongside the reel, she penned the caption: “So yummy! McFlurry and Apple Pie.”
The concept swiftly became a hit, earning over 302,000 likes as fans adored the ingenuity. Nevertheless, some lamented that fried Apple Pies are no longer available in their local McDonald’s outlets.
Comments ranged from: “Bring back the fried Apple Pie!” to “Where is that crispy Apple Pie from?” Someone else enviously added: “You have the good apple pies that we used to have. Ours are terrible now. Jealous!”
Criticism also emerged over the sounds of chewing in Aliain’s video, which she referred to as “ASMR”. One viewer expressed their disdain, commenting: “Looks great but hearing your eating noises makes me want to pull your throat out.” Another chimed in with: “Did you put the microphone in your mouth while you were eating? “.
