Many of the guitars are “quirky and irreplaceable with sentimental value,” according to the studio’s co-owner.

AUSTIN, Texas — An Austin-area music studio is asking for help after more than a dozen unique guitars were reportedly stolen.

On Tuesday, Austin-based musician Jeff Klein, who is part of the indie rock band “My Jerusalem” posted to social media claiming guitars owned by himself, singer-songwriter Walker Lukens and producer Grant Eppley were all taken during a break-in on Monday.

“Many of them [are] quirky and irreplaceable with sentimental value,” Klein wrote in the post.

According to Klein, at least 15 guitars were stolen, all varying in year and design. The list includes:

  • 1970s White Vintage Baldwin/Burns Jazz Split Sound with lyre vibrola arm
  • Rickenbacker 360, a rare red and black instrument from the early 90s with a small paint fix on the lower right body
  • 1995 Jerry Jones Shorthorn black
  • 1995 Jerry Jones Neptune Longhorn bass VI turquoise
  • 2002 Gibson J-45 black sunburst
  • 2002 Rickenbacker 360/12 string red sunburst
  • 2007 Gretsch Tennessee rose dark cherry
  • 2015 Fender American Performer Precision Bass
  • 2018 Fender JMJ Mustang bass Daphne blue
  • 2024 Gretsch White Falcon
  • D’angelico EX-175 Black electric with Bigsby and tortoise pickguard
  • Black Schecter Custom Shop Pete Townsend Tele
  • Airline Jupiter guitar with two Seymour Duncans
  • Johnson Violin Bass – tobacco sunburst
  • Sterling Stingray Ray 34 bass

Klein also said he was working to create a full list of the missing instruments. Meanwhile, the group is also reaching out to pawn shops in the area and asking anyone who sees the listed guitars for sale anywhere to contact him or the others impacted.
