SAN ANTONIO — A man was run over by a truck after police say he was “throwing rocks at cars” Thursday night. The man is currently in critical condition.
At about 11:40 p.m. police say a 38-year-old man was throwing rocks at cars in the 6900 block of San Pedro. One of the vehicles he hit, a pickup truck, was hit by one of the rocks. The driver, an 18-year-old man, turned the truck around to confront the man, but says he thought the man had a firearm.
That’s when the driver sped up and allegedly ran the man over. The three men inside the truck were detained.
The victim was taken to the hospital in critical condition.
Nobody has been arrested, but the driver of the truck possibly faces aggravated assault charges.
