Cops are asking for the public’s help in tracking down a gunman who repeatedly shot a stranger in the legs after the pair got into an argument on a Brooklyn street after the victim got into a car accident. police said.

The 34-year-old victim was waiting for a tow truck on Pennsylvania Ave. near Hegeman Ave. in East New York at about 10:10 p.m. on Jan. 23 when he got into an argument with the suspect, cops said.

The suspect, estimated to be around 60 years old, then pulled a gun and blasted the victim twice in each leg. He took off and remained on the loose as of Saturday morning, cops said.

It was not immediately clear if the suspect was involved in the car accident, police said.

Medics rushed the victim to Brookdale Hospital where he was in stable condition.

Cops described the gunman as approximately 5 foot 10, weighing roughly 165 pounds, with a dark complexion. Surveillance images of the suspect show him wearing a dark-colored long-sleeved shirt, with dark pants and black shoes.
