Managerless Motherwell have made a double signing swoop ahaead of tomorrow’s clash with Celtic.
Stuart Kettlewell resigned from his role as boss on Monday, citing fan abuse and the effects of it on his family, but moves that were already in motion have been completed today to strengthen the Steelmen for the visit of the Premiership leaders.
Manchester City striker Will Dickson, 20, and Crystal Palace forward Luke Plunge, 22, have both put pen to paper on loan deals until the end of the season.
“This is my first loan move, and I couldn’t be more excited,” Dickson said.
“I’ve shown what I can do at City through the levels, but this is the next big step for me. It’s an ideal opportunity for me to showcase my talents, and I would love to see my game progress at Motherwell.
“It’s an ideal place to be, and I can’t wait to see all the fans.”
On his move, Plange said: “I feel fit, ready and optimistic about the rest of this season.
“This is a great chance for me to build on what has been a successful season so far. I feel I have played in different leagues and bring a bit of experience on that front. I can’t wait to get started.”
