ATHENS, W.Va. – There were just under 10 seconds on the clock, both teams tied, and Concord had possession until it got scary for the Mountain Lions.
As the shot clock expires, Skylar Davidson gets the pass, loses the handle, has to throw it up, and hits a logo three-pointer that goes down as the game-winner.
Coming into the game against Frostburg State, the Women’s Mountain Lions had lost four straight games and had not won since Wednesday of the previous week.
Davidson’s three-pointer lifts Concord past Frostburg State, 79-77 handing them their ninth win on the season
There was also a little extra added motivation for Concord as before the tip, the University honored the life and legacy of former Concord Cheerleader, Sam Nelson, who passed away earlier in the week, from a seven-year battle with cancer.
