A 65-year-old woman crossing a Bronx street was fatally struck by a flatbed truck driver Monday morning, police said.

The victim was crossing Franklin Ave. in the crosswalk at E. 168th St. when she was struck about 8:55 a.m., cops said. It wasn’t immediately clear if she had the walk signal.

Medics rushed the woman to Lincoln Hospital but she could not be saved. A metal cane and a grocery bag containing a carton of milk were left near a pool of blood after the crash. The truck driver was transporting construction materials.

The 43-year-old driver remained at the scene. He was not immediately charged but police are still investigating.
