Kilmarnock have completed the deadline day loan signing of defender Tom Wilson-Brown from Leicester City.

The 20-year-old centre-back will join the Rugby Park side for the remainder of the season and provide much-needed defensive cover with Stuart Findlay currently injured.

The youngster becomes the second new arrival of the winter transfer window, with former Aberdeen full-back Calvin Ramsay having arrived on loan from Liverpool earlier in the month.

Despite having yet to feature for the English Premier League’s first team, the towering defender has made six appearances in the EFL Trophy – including playing the entire 90 minutes this season in defeats to Northampton Town and Notts County.

Killie’s victory over Dundee United on Saturday saw them close the gap on the top six to just three points as they look to climb up the table – and Derek McInnes is hopeful their new arrival can play his part in another successful finish to the season.
