Casey Deidrick, a former star of the long-running soap opera “Days of Our Lives,” was arrested in Tennessee over the weekend on charges of domestic violence.
The 37-year old was taken into custody Sunday following an incident at his Nashville home, according to TMZ.
After being charged with domestic assault and interference with an emergency call, he was released from the Davidson County Sheriff’s Office after posting a $2,500 bond at 3:30 a.m. on Monday.
According to the arrest warrant, Deidrick and his girlfriend engaged in a heated argument after he suspected she was recording him on her phone without permission. He allegedly grabbed the mobile device, which led to a physical confrontation in their kitchen.
The 6-foot-5 actor claimed his girlfriend wrapped her hands around his neck, the outlet reported. But cops said they found no evidence to support his claim.
The woman, who is not identified by the outlet, reportedly stated in the warrant that the dispute escalated when Deidrick put her in a “bear hug” and snatched her phone.
She demanded her phone back to call 911, allegedly fearing for her life. She said that Deidrick returned her phone after promising to leave the residence.
A native of Santa Clara, California, the actor portrayed the role of barista-turned-entrepreneur Chad DiMera on the NBC serial drama from 2009 to 2013.
Deidrick has appeared in several TV shows, including “Glee,” “In The Dark,” “Teen Wolf,” and the 2023 Hallmark movie “Wedding Season.”
