Blake Lively has reportedly described herself as both a “ballbuster” and “flirty” in alleged messages to Justin Baldoni that have surfaced online.
The pair, who appeared together in “It Ends With Us“, are now embroiled in a heated legal dispute following Blake’s accusation of sexual harassment against her co-star. She claims Justin ran a deliberate PR campaign to sully her reputation after their joint film effort. In a dramatic twist, Justin hit back with a $400 million lawsuit against Blake and her husband, Ryan Reynolds, claiming they’re out to ruin his career.
Amidst these developments, lawyers for Blake and Ryan have signalled their intention to move to dismiss Justin’s countersuit, aligning with the direction outlined by Judge Lewis Linman on how the court proceedings should advance.
Leaked conversations purportedly show Blake expressing her communicative approach: “It’s my love language. Spicy and playfully bold, never with teeth.”
It is suggested that she frequently referred to herself as a “ballbuster” during the production process. In an additional leaked discussion, there’s talk of Blake questioning her appearance in ‘body scenes’, which were purportedly pushed to the end of filming, however, Justin’s side rebuffed any concerns regarding her looking less than ‘amazing’, reports the Mirror.
Documents presented by his legal team cover a timeline spanning from January 2019 to January 2024, containing a whopping 168 pages of emails, texts, and WhatsApp communications, largely exchanged between Blake and Justin.
Baldoni showed disapproval of a message from Lively expressing her desire to shed some weight before shooting their movie following her fourth pregnancy. Their exchanged messages reveal Lively expressing gratitude for Baldoni’s ‘support’ and ‘friendship’.
Baldoni shared his concern for her wellbeing and humorously remarked that she must be feeling “1000lbs lighter emotionally” now. To which Lively responded with a light hearted: “I really really do. Only 20 to go.”
In a Valentine’s Day note, Baldoni communicated to Blake that writing the film was particularly enjoyable with scenes in mind featuring her, before correcting himself to say ‘exciting’, and pondering an apology. Blake reassured him with a comforting: “You’re safe here”.
Concerns about her physical readiness for romantic scenes prompted Lively to text: “What’s the chance we can do body scenes at the end of the schedule?”
In reply, Baldoni said scheduling changes were not yet possible but assured her: “I want you to know you will look amazing. Anything you are insecure about we will talk through and get creative together and make you comfortable. I just don’t want you to stress about your body. It’s the last thing you need.”

By April 2023, Baldoni informed Lively of his decision to bring on board an intimacy coordinator, offering an introduction “next week.”
He conveyed his affection saying he loved her and wanted to ‘set you up’ for meeting the coordinator, to which Lively replied confidently: “I feel good. I can meet her when we start. Thank you though.”
Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni exchanged texts about how her character, Lily, should have a playful interaction with his character in their film. Lively suggested that she should rewrite a scene between them on a rooftop.
She texted Baldoni, expressing her desire to “amp (up) their verbal ping pong/volley” and said: “how flirty and yummy and ballbusting” it would be. They then spent a considerable amount of time discussing how the intimate scene would unfold in their movie.
Lively told Baldoni: “Let me know what you prefer. If you knew me (in person) longer, you’d have a sense of how flirty and yummy the ball-busting would play. It’s my love language. Spicy and playfully bold, never with teeth. And him serving it back to her is just as important. You don’t usually see both the man and the woman with such agency and humour. Anyway, I can act it out for you next week to make sure it comes through, or I can send it now. Let me know what you prefer.
“
To which he responded: “I agree so much. Lily needs to be strong, playful and bold.”
In June 2023, Baldoni praised Lively after a ‘hard’ week of shooting while she was caring for her newborn son. He told his co-star: “I just wanted to say thank you for giving this week 110%. I know how hard it must be to be shooting and also have your partner gone and feeling exhausted. I appreciate all you have done to catch up.”
Blake replied graciously to his message, stating: “Thanks so much for the text. I appreciate your empathy and I will give it in return, you’re in the same boat.”
Then, before their relationship became strained in August, Baldoni sent Lively a birthday message. It took Lively six days to respond, but she expressed gratitude to her co-star for his considerate gift of a matcha machine.
