A flood alert has been issued for the whole of Dumfries and Galloway.
The region is being battered by rain today, with forecasters fearing as much as 60mm could fall over higher ground.
That led to the Met Office issuing a yellow weather warning, which came into effect at 9pm last night and is due to last until 1pm this afternoon.
Now the Scottish Environment Protection Agency (SEPA) is also urging people to take care after issuing a flood alert via its Floodline system, with surface water likely to cause problems.

The warning stated: “Particularly at risk are built-up areas and the transport network. There may also be some impacts from rivers and small watercourses as they respond to the rain. Impacts may include flooding to low-lying land and roads, with difficult driving conditions and disruption to travel.
