A police probe is underway after a teenager was struck in a hit-and-run on a Scots road. The youngster was struck by a white vehicle on Sunday evening.
Police Scotland are now investigating the incident which took place on Rullion Road, Penicuik, at around 6pm on Sunday, February 2, 2025.
Officers are appealing to anyone with any information on the incident to come forward, and have asked drivers to hand over dashcam footage it they have any.
A post on the Police Scotland Midlothian Facebook page said: “Police are appealing for witnesses following a hit and run that occurred around 6pm on 2nd February 2025 at Rullion Road, Penicuik.
“A white vehicle struck a 13 year old and thereafter failed to stop. The vehicle was last seen travelling towards Queensway on Rullion Road. Anyone who witnessed the incident is asked to contact Police on 101.
“We would also urge anyone with dashcam who was on Rullion Road around that time to check their footage with a view to assisting officers.” Anyone with information should quote incident number 2502 of the 2nd of February 2025.
