Kelly Brook left her fellow Loose Women panellists utterly shocked when she confessed to walking out of Emma Bunton’s Christmas show.
During Monday’s episode of the popular ITV daytime programme, Kelly joined Charlene White, Brenda Edwards, and Judi Love in the studio, where she made a surprising revelation.
The panel had been discussing why some theatre-goers leave shows early to avoid spoilers ahead of film adaptations, with Wicked’s 10 Oscar nominations prompting some fans to skip the West End performance for a pristine cinema experience.
Amidst the heated discussion, Kelly came clean with a secret of her own, reports the Mirror.
“I do have a confession…” she began, before revealing her Emma Bunton-related tale. “I love going to the theatre, I’ve seen so many West End shows, musicals, all sorts… But I do need to apologise to Emma Bunton – she invited me to her Christmas show at the Royal Albert Hall.”
Kelly tried to explain herself, saying: “I had a puppy that was six months old, and about half an hour into the show… I got immense anxiety that this little puppy was going to absolutely wreck my house. Eat everything! I just said to my husband, ‘I’m not enjoying the show.’ It was nothing to do with Emma – Emma is fantastic..”
In a memorable moment on the show, Judi couldn’t help but express her disbelief as she asked: “Your mind was somewhere else? ” Kelly confirmed with a nod, “My mind was somewhere else. I just could not relax.”
As Charlene delved deeper, asking: “So, you lasted like three songs? ” Kelly, somewhat embarrassed, recounted how she and her husband discreetly left the event. “I said, ‘Let’s just pretend we’re going to the bar…’ and we slipped out and left the show. We went home. The puppy was fine. It was all in my head! And now, any time I’ve got a dog, I cannot see a show.”
Adding to the situation, Judi probed about Kelly’s assigned seats, and learning they were front-row, the panel couldn’t contain their amusement.
Charlene, clearly taken aback, encouraged a heartfelt apology. Turning earnestly towards the camera, Kelly addressed Emma: “Emma, I would love to come back to your show again if you would kindly invite me. I know, I know, it was terrible! But the puppy was six months old!”.
During the same episode, the conversation took a poignant turn when the panelists opened up about personal losses during a candid discussion on bereavement and explaining death to kids.
Charlene was visibly moved to tears recalling the death of her closest friend, and Judi also showed deep emotion when talking about her late mother.
Kelly fought back tears as well while discussing her father’s passing.
