Police are now investigating the incident as Austin’s fifth homicide of 2025.
AUSTIN, Texas — An investigation is underway after a man died following a crash near Zilker Park.
Austin police said a call came in about the crash near Azie Morton Road just before 3:30 p.m. Monday.
When officers arrived, they found a man with signs of trauma in the parking lot. Police said the man was taken to the hospital where he later died.
Austin Police Chief Lisa Davis said the man was hit by a vehicle, but police do not have information about the driver at this time.
Police said this is being investigated as Austin’s fifth homicide of 2025.
