A popular Ayrshire bar and restaurant has been put up for sale as the owners get set to retire.
Oceans 11 Bar and Diner has been catering to sports fans and foodies since it opened on the corner of Fowlds Street and Titchfield Street, in Kilmarnock, over 30-years-ago.
It was one of the first American-themed eateries in the area when it opened in 1992 – originally as Route 66 – and has seen many a satisfied customer in it’s 33 years.
Whether George Clooney and Brad Pitt decide to pool their resources to make an offer remains to be seen but Shepherd Chartered Surveyors are now seeking offers over £325,000 for the bar and restaurant.
The upstairs premises are “well appointed in a classic style and include a wide range of memorabilia” with seating available for around 50 diners, including 32 in a raised dining area.
Overall, the premises includes a bar and restaurant area, a large “well-appointed” commercial kitchen, cellarage, modern customer WC facilities and staff office.
Kevin Bell, partner at Shepherd Chartered Surveyors in Ayr, said: “Our clients have owned the business for over 32 years and have reluctantly decided to sell as they now wish to retire.
“The consistently profitable business currently trades from 11am until 12 midnight Monday – Wednesday, 11am until 1am Thursday to Saturday and 12 noon until 12 midnight on Sundays.
“Food plays a large part in the turnover with an extensive and varied menu available. The current owners operate the business essentially under management with around 10 staff employed on a day-to-day basis. There is scope to develop the business further.”
Price excludes stock which will be valued separately at the date of sale and partial rates remission is available to qualifying occupiers.
