ST. LOUIS (KMOV/Gray News) – A family said they are moving after they have been the target of several attacks, including finding a voodoo doll on their front porch.
The Missouri family has asked to remain anonymous and had a spokesperson speak on their behalf.
“They’re terrified they’re going to get hurt. They have to sleep in shifts now. I’m really scared for them,” the spokesperson said.
The family said they bought their home and enjoyed living there until a woman assaulted the husband a couple of months ago.
After that, they found a voodoo doll surrounded by rat poison on their front porch.
The family said after finding the voodoo doll, their dog had to be rushed to an animal hospital after eating rat poisoning that had been thrown in their front yard.
In December, a man was recorded by surveillance cameras walking around to the back of the house where an explosive device was set off. The explosion blew off a door handle on the back door.
On Friday, the same man was allegedly recorded by a security camera lighting something on fire and dropping it on one of the cars in the driveway. One car was destroyed and another was damaged.
“They’re looking to move because who could live there if they’re setting your house on fire and putting bombs on your house?” the spokesperson said.
The North County Police Cooperative is investigating the attacks.
“Our investigators are aggressively investigating the matters at hand. It’s still an ongoing investigation at this time,” Corporal Benjamin Santoyo said.
