A cottage in Scotland’s “Jewel of the Highlands” can currently be booked for a Valentine’s Day getaway.
Lorram is a small home set close to the shore in the village of Plockton in the Skye and Lochalsh area of the Scottish Highlands. The picturesque village sits on a sheltered bay, offering stunning views out over the idyllic Loch Carron.
At the moment, a two-night stay at Iorram from February 14 to February 16 can be booked for a total cost of £398 through Airbnb. The price for each night at the cottage is currently reduced from £165 to £145.
Stepping inside, the main living space features a high vaulted ceiling and a well-stocked wood burning stove. A large window looks out across the harbour over to the hills beyond.

Elsewhere, the kitchen was made bespoke by a local carpenter. It features ceramics, hand-carved spoons, and a variety of “characterful vintage pieces to elevate the everyday experience of cooking or making coffee”.
In the bedroom, there is a natural mattress and a low timber ceiling. According to the listing, guests have “often commented on how relaxing it feels”.
Meanwhile, the bathroom is flooded with natural light thanks to the frameless roof window above the shower. It also features a deep bath, while the tiles are handmade.
Outside, Iorram comes with a gated private garden, which was “designed to feel abundant and naturalistic”. It includes a stepping stone path and south-facing patio with a view.
According to Airbnb, Iorram is a ‘guest favourite’ property, meaning it is among the top 5 per cent on the website based on guest feedback. The cottage has an average rating of 4.95 out of five based on 19 reviews.
One guest shared: “Plockton is a wonderful village—the locals are welcoming and kind. My mom and I feel thankful that Iorram could be our ‘home base’ to explore the area.
“Good responsiveness, good attention to detail, peaceful vibes.”
A second agreed: “We had a lovely relaxed time at Iorram. The cottage was the perfect place to return to after days spent walking the coast and hill paths, watching seals playing and enjoying a local beer in the pub.”
