MESA, Ariz. (KPHO/Gray News) — A young girl and two men are dead, and another child is hospitalized after a three-vehicle crash involving a stolen truck in Mesa, Arizona.
According to Mesa police, a Ford F-250 was stolen in a town over in Gilbert, Arizona, shortly before the crash, which took place at about 8 a.m. Monday.
Police the driver of the stolen F-250 drove onto the other side of traffic and collided head-on with a Nissan Armada SUV.
The driver of the SUV, identified as 42-year-old Troy Garlock, was pronounced dead at the scene. An 8-year-old girl and a 6-year-old girl who were in the backseat were seriously injured.
Both were rushed to the hospital, where the 8-year-old later died.
Mesa police said the driver of the stolen pickup, identified as 29-year-old Damarya Zyberi, also died at the scene.
A Nissan Sentra sedan was also involved in the crash, but the driver was not seriously hurt.
Speed is believed to be a factor in the collision.
