Homes Under The Hammer star Martel Maxwell has been a fan favourite on the BBC show since first hitting screens in 2017.
And, off screen the 47-year-old enjoys a colourful family life at her stunning self-built home in Dundee, where she lives with husband Jamie Parrat, and their three sons.
She may be one of the best names on the telly but Martel regularly shares snippets away from her showbiz life, of her with her family at home in Dundee, as well as filming updates and stunning holiday snaps. Recently, she delighted fans with an update as she shot scenes for Homes Under the Hammer in her home city for the first time ever.
Martel said: “Today, today, today…Dundee, Dundee, Dundee! I cannot believe it – shortest commute (by many a mile) in my eight years on Hammer. It’s made me quite unexpectedly giddy. I’m awfully cheerleedy about my home city. Maybe it’s because I returned. I just love it.”
Martel and Jamie were childhood sweethearts, and Martel has said in the past that he was the boy she first kissed.
She started out as a journalist working in print, and then moved on to on screen roles for The One show and Lorraine.
Martel moved to Homes Under the Hammer in 2017 while she was pregnant with her first son, and she soon became a regular host alongside Martin Roberts and Dion Dublin after Lucy Alexander’s exit.
She previously told Firstime Buyer Magazine: “They knew I had always had an interest in property and even though I was pregnant I got the presenter’s job.
“It’s such a great role and I love every second of it. The team get on so well and it has a huge following.”
Who is Martel Maxwell’s husband?
Martel and Jamie first met when they were aged five but romance didn’t blossom until they were teens. Martel opened up about their relationship previously as she said: “I had met Jamie when I started school at five and had kissed him when we were teenagers. We never really lost touch and we met up every so often with other friends.
“Eventually, we were both going to a music festival and afterwards I invited him to a party at a friend’s house and I suppose you could say we never looked back after that.
“We ended up living in my flat in London and are now married with three gorgeous sons.”

Martel lives with sons Monty, Chester and Guthrie in a stunning Dundee home that wouldn’t look out of place the swankiest California neighbourhood.
Martel took on the challenge of building her own , where previously only a cattle grid lay in nearby fields. The work certainly paid off, as the interior experts skills were laid bare with the open plan glamorous pad.
Martel regularly lets fans see inside the dream property, which features huge windows showing off the stunning countryside. The house is an eco-friendly one with solar panels, and the sleek, wooden interior of the living room is the epitome of style.
The family also enjoy sporting activities, with Martel recently sharing a snap after a tennis match with pals. And along with her family, Martel took in a change of scenery in Austria last year, where she shared a selfie with her husband Jamie on Instagram
