Katie Price was left heartbroken after receiving a text from her eldest son, Harvey Price.
Speaking on her Katie Price Show podcast, the mother of five shared the emotional content of a message from her 22-year old son expressing his unhappiness at his college.
The 46-year-old TV personality discussed her recent visit with Harvey and how he struggled with the prospect of returning to college after spending time with his family.
Quoting Harvey’s text, Katie said: “Hey mummy, I don’t like to stay at college because I’ve got a bad cough, because I am so bored to stay at college mummy.
“I am so sad and angry at staying at college because I hate it.”
Overwhelmed by his words, Katie revealed, “It’s so sad isn’t it? It actually broke my heart when I had to drive off, because he really didn’t want to go back.”
Harvey was born with Prader-Willi syndrome and also has septo-optic dysplasia, causing blindness, as well as autism, reports the Mirror.
He is currently living full-time at a specialist college to cater to his complex needs. Despite the challenge, over three years ago, Katie reflected during an interview with the BBC about allowing others to help care for her son, acknowledging: “It does come to a point where sometimes you have to let go and let other people help.”
Katie has spoken candidly about learning to accept help with her son Harvey’s care, admitting she used to think she could manage on her own.
She said: “I used to think, ‘no, no I can do it on my own, I’m doing it on my own’, because you just feel on your own that you can just do it better and quicker because you know the routine.”
Katie also highlighted the significant progress Harvey has made over the years, having been told he would never be able to talk or walk.

However, with determination and support, Harvey has defied these expectations. Katie also shared an update on Harvey’s living arrangements, revealing that he is set to move into a new permanent residence closer to her home on March 10.
This comes after Harvey moved into a 24-hour college near Cheltenham in 2021, a journey that was documented in the BBC series, Katie Price: Harvey and Me, which followed the mother and son as Harvey transitioned into adulthood and started living away from home.
