A man has been arrested after police raided a house in Kilsyth and discovered £10,000 worth of cocaine.

Officers, acting under warrant, searched a property on Townhead Street in the North Lanarkshire town on Tuesday, February 4, where the Class-A drug was found.

The haul had an estimated street value of £10,000.

A 38-year-old man was arrested and charged in relation to the incident and released on an undertaking to appear at Airdrie Sheriff Court at a later date.

Detective Chief Inspector Susie Cairns said: “This seizure demonstrates our ongoing commitment to removing illegal drugs from the streets of Lanarkshire.

“Information from the public is vital and I would urge anyone who has information or concerns about drugs in their community to contact Police Scotland on 101. Alternatively, contact Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111, where anonymity can be maintained.”
