AUSTIN, Texas — The full lineup for the 2025 Moontower Comedy Festival has been revealed, and a number of high-profile comics will soon be descending on Austin.
More than 100 comedians from across the country will perform over the course of the 10-day event, which lasts from Wednesday, April 9 until Saturday, April 19. In addition to live stand-up, some of the featured events include live podcasts, sketch comedy, and musical comedy There will also be a series of additional special events that will tie the event together.
Among the headliners include:
- John Waters, a legendary director known affectionately as the “Pope of Trash,” has directed movies like “Pink Flamingos” and “Hairspray,” who will be bringing a new show for his debut at the festival.
- Hank Azaria, an acclaimed actor and comedian who is the voice behind “Simpsons” characters like Moe Szyslak, Chief Wiggum, Superintendent Chalmers and Comic Book Guy. He will be playing with his EZ Street Band.
- Aziz Ansari, the creator of the series “Master of None” and actor behind the whimsical, sometimes whiny “Parks and Recreation” character Tom Haverford.
- Joey Diaz, a notably irreverent comedian known for his many appearances on “The Joe Rogan Experience” podcast and his own “The Church of What’s Happening Now” podcast.
- Pete Holmes, the star of HBO’s “Crashing” and host of the “You Made It Weird” podcast, is bringing his “Feelin’ It Tour” to the festival.
- Tiffany Haddish, author of “The Last Black Unicorn” and an actress known for her role in “Girls Trip.“
- Chris DiStefano, a stand-up comic known for co-hosting the “Hey Babe!” podcast and for his appearances on the MTV shows “Guy Code” and “Girl Code.”
- Adam Ray, a stand-up comedian known for his impressions, will be performing his popular “Adam Ray presents Dr. Phil Live!” routine.
Other notable acts include Big Jay Oakerson and Casey Rocket, as well as “Saturday Night Live” alums Chloe Troast and Brooks Whelan.
