Choosing a name for your baby is a very difficult decision as it is how they will be known for the rest of their life. Some people try to stick to a theme to make this decision slightly easier.

This could be names of flowers or having the same first initial like the Kardashian family. However, a problem with having themed names is that it can be restricting after a while, as your options become less with the more kids you have.

Additionally, as you get to the tail end of the available names, some people may not fully approve of the choice you have made. This is exactly what happened to one family, as a woman has shared on Reddit her dislike for the name of her sister’s fourth child.

She has dubbed the name “terrible” as her sister began to run out of titles associated with the months in the year, with the three most common options going to her first three daughters, reports the Mirror.

In the post, the woman said her sister has already had three girls whom she named April, May and June. However, after having her first son, the sister seems to have made a wild choice. With wanting to continue the trend of naming her children after months, you may have thought that she would go with the safe choice of August. She did not.

The sister explained: “My sister is obsessed with naming her children after months. She’s a big believer in ‘connecting to time’ or something. She has three daughters, and their names are April, May, and June. But she just had her first boy.

“I said maybe she should go with August if she wanted to stick to the month theme, but NOPE. FEBRUARY. God save this kid.”

The decision to name her child February has sparked a debate in the comments section of the post. Many people have agreed with the mum’s sister that the boy should have been called August, while others add that the name February seems very “feminine” to them, therefore not the best name for a boy.

Another point that was made is that February was probably the worst month the mum could have picked due to it being notoriously difficult to spell compared to the other months still available.

One commenter said: “I actually knew a February once! It was a girl, though, and as far as I know, she didn’t have any sisters with month names.” Another added: “That little boy is going to have to fight his whole life.”

A third person made a further point, writing: “When I see kids named after the month they were born in, I just think the parents didn’t really put much thought into names. ‘Oh, I’m pregnant. Oh well I will just name them whatever month they’re born in’.”

However, the post writer dispelled this theory as she said her new nephew wasn’t actually born in February, but at the end of January.
