A woman has been left critically injured in hospital after being struck by a car in Stirling.
Emergency services raced to the scene on the A9 at Airthrey Road at around 10am on Thursday, February 6, following the collision between the pedestrian and a single car.
The 23-year-old was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow by air ambulance, where she remains in a critical condition. The driver of the car was not injured.
The road was closed for over four hours to allow police to carry out crash investigation work, and reopened at around 2.10pm. Enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident.

Road Policing Sergeant Scott Kirkpatrick said: “I’m appealing to anyone who was in the area around the time and saw what happened to get in contact with police.
“I’d also ask drivers with dashcams to please review your footage to see if you’ve captured anything which may assist our investigation.”
