If you are partial to your cups of tea in close succession in the day, then you’ll know the hassle of having to wait for the kettle to boil every single time. So, a kettle that keeps water hot for a longer period is a dream scenario.

Thanks to the Ninja Perfect Temperature Kettle, now reduced on Amazon to £79, down 21% from £99.99 (all prices correct at time of writing), you won’t have to make a million trips to the kettle.

With six pre-set temperatures which range from 60°C to 100°C you can also choose the water temperature. Even better, you can either adjust manually or use the touch button controls, and you’ll be able to see the temperature climb or fall as you change it on the real-time digital display.

It boils one cup in under 50 seconds, so if you pop it on, by the time you’ve opened the fridge to get your choice of milk (regular, oat, skim… so many options), your kettle will be ready to pour. It has a 1.7-litre capacity, which is enough for seven cups of tea or coffee if you prefer.

And if you’re entertaining or just like to drink a few cups in an hour, a Hold Temp feature keeps the selected water temperate for up to 30 minutes. This means no rushing back and forth to boil every few minutes.

It has a water window with blue illumination so you can easily see when you need to refill the kettle. Every kettle owner will know the pain of limescale and having to keep your kettle clean. This kettle has a removable scale filter, which is joyous news, and it is also BPA-free (meaning it doesn’t contain Bisphenol A).

The kettle is aesthetically pleasing, too, and sitting on a base with a sleek stainless-steel finish, it will add some elegance to any kitchen counter.

With a 4.6 average star rating on Amazon out of more than 2,000 reviews, there is plenty to love about this piece of kitchenware. One five-star review said: “A recent drop in price made this Ninja Kettle great value. Overall, this is a very nice unit. I liked the sensible cable tidy that made shortening the drop easy to do. The unit has a relatively small footprint, so does not take a lot of space in a busy kitchen. A big capacity in a small unit – the new unit was a lot smaller than my old kettle, but the capacity is a very generous 1.7l.”

Another said: “We treated ourselves to this amazing kettle for our 38th anniversary last week. Wish I had bought this kettle sooner. Got it on sale which was a bonus!! It is a beaut of a kettle…fastest boil in a kettle we have had…beeps when you press start and beeps when it switches off and it is very quiet when boiling. It is fast to boil…I wipe it with a damp cloth and buff with kitchen paper and it’s done, nice and clean and shiny.”

And a third raved: “I loved this, Ninja manages to make something as simple as a kettle innovative and exciting to use! The hold temperature function on this is a lifesaver for someone like me, a frazzled mum of four who will boil the kettle and then get distracted before I can pour my cup of tea, so this is ideal. I simply press the hold temp button once it boils and go about doing whatever needs to be done and come back to perfectly boiled water that doesn’t need to be re-boiled.”

One person pointed out one negative, saying as part of their review: “It looks ok but is a little noisier than my previous Breville kettle.” Someone else said in their review: “The kettle is great at the different temperatures – but is a bit slow getting to the 80C, as it slows right down once it gets to 70+ degrees Celsius.”
