Hamilton Accies Women have announced club legend Megan Quinn will receive a testimonial match in April to mark her 10 years of service.
The defender joined Accies from Celtic Reserves back in 2015 and has racked up a club record number of outings, making over 250 appearances.
Now she will be honoured with a testimonial when Accies’ current squad faces a Accies Legends team at New Douglas Park on Sunday, April 6.
Accies boss Robert Watson is thrilled to see the 30-year-old school teacher receive the recognition she deserves.
He said: “This will be the first testimonial we’ve ever been able to hold for the women’s team, with the way things have improved and progressed at the club in the last five years.
“To be able to recognise Megan, who has given 10 years to us, is fantastic.
“She’s never been a full-time footballer but she is still a legendary figure not only for Hamilton Accies but for Scottish women’s football, playing at the top two levels for so long and make over 250 appearances in that time.”

He added: “I don’t think Megan was really expecting it. She is really excited and so are her family.
“It’s nice to give a little something back and give recognition to players like Megan, who haven’t got the recognition they maybe deserve from the wider media and the league down the years.
“People like Megan should be celebrated and we are really pleased to be doing it for her.
“We have an international break that week so hopefully that allows us to get a great crowd to come out for her and celebrate.”
Further details and kick-off time will be announced in due course.

Meanwhile, Watson heaped praise on his players for giving Aberdeen a run for their money in the Scottish Cup on Sunday.
SWPL 2 side Accies lost out 3-0 to the Dons in a last 16 tie, but it took the hosts until the 79th minute to break their resolve. And Watson admitted the strength in depth from their SWPL1 opponents proved the difference.
He said: “I felt we played well across the whole 90 minutes. Aberdeen had some chances in the first half and so did we. I felt it was pretty even.
“We hit the post and I think we panicked them a bit, but they were in the position where they can bring on two full internationals and an Australian U20 international off the bench and being able to bring that level of experience on just tipped things in their favour.
“It has taken them until the 79th minute to score and it has come off a set play. We haven’t been cut open.
“I’m really pleased with how the players performed and it just goes to show that we, if we do go up, we are in a good position to go and match these teams next season. On another day we go 1-0 up and make it difficult for them, but we weren’t quite able to do that.
“I can only praise the players for their performance over the 90 minutes.”

Accies return to league business on Sunday when the runaway league leaders travel to Boroughmuir Thistle, who beat them 3-2 in November.
Watson added: “They are the only team to have beaten us in the league so far this season so it will be a tough one.
“They can be quite deceptive. They like to keep the ball in their own third but they like to go direct when they get into attacking areas so that is something we need to deal with better than we did in the home game.”
• Meanwhile, three Accies players have received Scotland call-ups this week with Sophie Townsley in the U19 squad and duo Olivia McStay and Justine Strain called up to the U17s.
