A father and his young son who were reported missing from Perth have been traced following a frantic search.
James Forbes, three, and his dad, also James, 36, were last seen at around 1.50am on Friday, February 7, in the city’s Edinburgh Road.
At the time, they were travelling in a Ford Transit van, and it was believed they may have travelled to the Fife or Forth Valley areas.

Concerns grew as the father and son failed to make any contact with family, with police launching an urgent search and asking members of the public that had seen them or the vehicle to get in touch.
After they had been located, Police Scotland shared an update on social media: “James Forbes, three, and his dad, also James, 36, who had been reported missing from Perth earlier today have been traced. Thank you for sharing our appeal.”
