A family are terrified to leave their home after their puppy was mauled to death by an American Bulldog.
Michaela Brennan, 35, her partner Andrew, 38 as well as their young family, Devon, 7, Harley 5 and Charlie, 17, are in fear of leaving their house following the brutal dog attack in their garden in Tollcross, Glasgow.
Eight-month old French Bulldog, Boss, was attacked on Saturday evening after a neighbourhood dog entered their garden and tore into the pup, resulting in his heartbreaking death.
The mum-of-three said the shock attack has left her children traumatised.

Speaking to the Daily Record, Michaela said: “My autistic son was in the garden when the attack happened and the terror on his face when he ran back into the house was heartbreaking.
“The American bulldog ragdolled my French bulldog until he died. He was dragged across my garden by the mouth.
“My 17-year-old daughter and my partner Andrew witnessed it happening and now we’re all living with trauma. Andrew fought to save little Boss.
“He was terrified, poor Boss was dragged into the bushes and mauled. He didn’t stand a chance.”
Following the brutal attack, Michaela revealed that she now struggles to go outside. “I’m grieving, I’ve never experienced this with an animal before. It’s absolutely breaking my heart.

“Since it happened, I’ve struggled to even enter the garden. I’ve not left my house and I am terrified to do so.”
Michaela – who was already scared of big dogs – called the police following the incident, and Police Scotland attended the home before interviewing the dog’s owners.

Michaela is now in contact with the dog warden – but remains on edge with worry for her young family.
She said: “My five year old daughter has had to be removed from our house numerous times since this has happened because she’s terrified.

“My autistic son has absolutely shut down. Both of my kids are questioning everything that happened. Their emotions are everywhere, they’re absolutely traumatised.
“Since the incident, I’ve been living in grief, he was like my wee shadow. I am scared to leave my house and haven’t left since the attack happened. Mentally it has traumatised me, my mental health is in the gutter. I’m just absolutely heartbroken.
“I’m now terrified this happens to another dog or child.
“Wee Boss was part of our family. The house just feels empty without him.”
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “At 6.20pm on Saturday, 1 February, 2025, we received a report of a puppy attacked by another dog in the garden of a property in Quarrybrae Street, Glasgow.
“The puppy was taken to a vet but died from its injuries.
“Officers attended and gave advice to those involved.”
The Record has approached the dog warden for comment.
