LEANDER, Texas — Leander ISD said there is no danger to the community after a bomb scare at Leander High School on Saturday.

According to the school district, officials were notified of a bomb threat at the high school while various activities were taking place.

The threat was reported to local law enforcement, and the Leander Police Department responded. The building was evacuated and police searched the premises, Leander ISD said.

After clearing the building, Leander police determined there was no danger to the community and allowed for events to continue.

“We are thankful to our law enforcement partners for their dedication in keeping our community safe,” Leander ISD Executive Director of Safety and Security Shā Rogers said in a statement. “Safety is our district’s top priority. We want to assure you we take every available precaution to ensure the safety of our students and staff.”
