A teenager has been found dead at a Scots university student halls.

Police raced to the Alexander Court area of Bridge of Allan – owned by Stirling University – after receiving reports of a sudden death at 2.20pm on Friday. Officers attended and an 18-year-old man was found dead at the scene.

The BBC reports that his death is currently being treated as unexplained, although there are not thought to be any suspicious circumstances. A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.

Alexander Court provides first year undergraduate students on-campus accommodation. It is located on the north side of the Stirling University campus, near Sheriffmuir Road.
