The body of a missing Cornwall woman was discovered near a sewage outlet over the weekend.
Colette Marshall vanished on February 1 from Perranporth in Cornwell. Police released photos of the 44-year-old stating that they were extremely worried for her welfare, reports the Mirror.
On Saturday, police were spotted at a site near to the Cornish village, before they confirmed the devastating news.
Ambulance crews, coastguards and the RNLI were called to the scene “just off the sewage outlet at Drozskyn” and it was confirmed a body had been found.
In a statement, the force said: “A body has been located in the search for 44-year-old Colette Marshall who had been reported missing from Perranporth. A body was discovered along the coastline in the Perranporth area Saturday 8 February.

“Formal identification has yet to take place. The family of Colette have been informed of the discovery. A file will be prepared for the coroner.”
Police said on Saturday that there was “nothing to suggest anything untoward happened to the individual” found near the sewage site.
