Coronation Street favourite has spilled the beans about their return to the iconic cobbles amidst Daisy Midgeley’s planned departure. Portrayed by Charlotte Jordan, Daisy has been a staple on the street since her 2020 debut as Jenny Connor’s stepdaughter, brought to life by Sally Ann Matthews.
Recently caught in a bind after discovering her pregnancy with an unknown father, Daisy faced a paternity dilemma between Daniel Osbourne and Kit Green. Despite undergoing a DNA test, Daisy decided to delete the results, explaining to Jenny that the identity of the baby’s father was irrelevant as she believed neither man suited to be a dad.
In a further development, Charlotte Jordan, 29, shared her intention to bid farewell to the beloved soap after five years, eager to dive into fresh ventures. She noted: “It’s time for me to start a new chapter and explore other opportunities.”

Coinciding with her exit plot, Amy Robbins revealed on Instagram that she’s returning to the set, reports Lancs Live.
Amy, 53, portrays Daisy’s mother, Christina Boyd, last seen in April the previous year. On social media, Amy shared a snapshot alongside Tony Maudsley, who plays George Shuttleworth, captioning it: “Back at @coronationstreet with my bezzie!”

Tony took to Instagram with the same photo, excitedly captioning it: “Buzzin to have my bestie back on Corrie! Nipped into The Rovers for a pint to celebrate! #George #Christina.”
Fans were quick to express their delight in the comments section, with one saying: “Great to have you in it”, another posting: “Yeeessss welcome back! ! ! “, and further comments like: “Can’t wait to see you back on coronation street Xx”, “This is so exciting xx” and “Can’t wait to see you on TV @amylouiserobbins_ lovely photo xxxxxx.”
Amy originally joined Coronation Street as Christina in 2023 and has since made intermittent appearances until April 2024. She’s also recognised for her roles in The Royal as Dr. Jill Weatherill, Defence Barrister Milligan in Emmerdale, and Caren in EastEnders, among others.
