Elon Musk has finally spoken out about the decision to suspend Kanye West’s X account after the rapper’s three-day tirade filled with hate speech.
Kanye, 47, left his followers in shock with a series of posts on X where he labelled himself a ‘racist’ and a ‘Nazi’, while asserting that he has ‘dominion’ over his new wife Bianca Censori,30.
The controversy began following Kanye’s appearance at the Grammy Awards on Sunday night, where he and Bianca sparked outrage on the red carpet after the Australian model stripped off completely naked, the Mirror reports.
Since their eyebrow raising behaviour at the Grammys, Kanye and Bianca have consistently made news headlines, and it seems the father-of-four has reached his limit.
Planning his next move post-Grammys, Kanye then professed his admiration for Hitler and identified himself as a Nazi, amidst a barrage of repugnant messages targeting Jewish people. “I’m racist. Stereotypes exist for a reason and they all be true.”
He continued, anddeclared: “I’M NEVER APOLOGIZING FOR MY JEWISH COMMENTS I CAN SAY WHATEVER THE F**K I WANNA SAY FOREVER. WHERE’S MY F***ING APOLOGY FOR FREEZING MY ACCOUNTS SUCK MY DI**. HOWS THAT FOR AN APOLOGY.”
Kanye continued his rant with: “BE CLEAR YOU JEWISH N***AS DON’T RUN ME NO MORE. THIS IS A FREE COUNTRY AND THIS IS MY FREE OPINION YOU ABORT BLACK CHILDREN FOR STEM CELLS ABORTION IS MURDER AND ITS PUSHED ONTO THE BLACK AND LATINO COMMUNITIES.
“ANY JEWISH PERSON THAT DOES BUSINESS WITH ME NEEDS TO KNOW I DON’T LIKE OR TRUST ANY JEWISH PERSON AND THIS IS COMPLETELY SOBER WITH NO HENNESY. SOME OF MY BEST FRIENDS ARE JEWISH AND I DON’T TRUST ANY OF THEM.”
Musk, who purchased twitter in 2022 and rebranded it as X in 2023, responded: “Given what he has posted, his account is now classified as NSFW. You should not be seeing that anymore.” This context clarifies that ‘NSFW’ means ‘Not Safe For Work’, reflecting the inappropriateness of Kanye’s material for public or professional spaces.
Subsequent to backlash from several individuals, including actor David Schwimmer – who accused Elon of complicity through silence and encouraged him to remove Kanye from the X platform, previously known as Twitter.
The Friends star took to social media responding to Kanye’s tirade, stating: “This is so 2022. We can’t stop a deranged bigot from spewing hate filled, ignorant bile… but we CAN stop giving him a megaphone, Mr. Musk. Kanye West has 32.7 million followers on your platform, X.”
The rapper’s outburst was met with fierce criticism, with one person stating: “That’s twice as many people than the number of Jews in existence. His sick hate speech results in REAL LIFE violence against Jews.”
The critic continued: “I don’t know what’s worse, the fact that he identifies as a Nazi (which implies he wants to exterminate ALL marginalized communities including his own) or the fact that there is not sufficient OUTRAGE to remove and ban him from all social media at this point. Silence is complicity.”
Kanye also sparked outrage with his comments about wife Bianca, claiming he has control over her and stating: “I HAVE DOMINION OVER MY WIFE. THIS AIN’T NO WOKE A** FEMINIST S***. SHE’S WITH A BILLIONAIRE, WHY WOULD SHE LISTEN TO ANY OF YOU DUMB*** BROKE B*****.
“PEOPLE SAY THE RED CARPET LOOK WAS HER DECISION. YES I DON’T MAKE HER DO NOTHING. SHE DOESN’T WANT TO, BUT SHE DEFINITELY WOULDN’T HAVE BEEN ABLE TO DO IT WITHOUT MY APPROVAL.”
He concluded his rant by saying: “YOU STUPID A** WOKE PAWNS I HAVE NO RESPECT OR EMPATHY FOR ANYONE LIVING CAUSE NOBODY LIVING CAN F*** WITH ME BUT I DO LOVE SOME PEOPLE AND I GIVE THEM FAVOR.”
