NEW ORLEANS — With Super Bowl LIX underway in Caesars Superdome, many are responding to the new score tracker on millions of screens across America.
It’s a much simplified version of score trackers hosted on Fox in years past. On the left side is a red “KC” and on the right is a green “PHI.” A timer and the current score sits between them and the individual elements are free floating, without a background.
Social media isn’t loving what’s going on.
The NFL Memes account on X, formerly known as Twitter, says it “looks like how old people have their iPhone set up.”

Others are comparing how visually appealing the Super Bowl LIX logo is this year compared to the score bug.

Others were a little more blunt in their online reactions to it. One user wrote “this score bug makes me want to vomit.”
Another said it “might be the worst score bug in sports history.”

Some users even wondered how much time or money it took to create, joking the lack of creativity had something to do with how much Tom Brady is paid.
