TAZEWELL, Va. – Residents and visitors alike are invited to make a splash in the Town of Tazewell as the Polar Plunge returns for 2025.
It’s happening at Lincolnshire Lake once again on March 1st at 2 p.m.
To take the plunge, you must raise a minimum of $50 for individuals and $100 for groups. The proceeds raised are all for good causes, as funds will go to Tactical Retreat Unplugged and Tazewell Today.
“Well, being a veteran, the organization…that Matt [Matthew Brandt] runs, it’s near and dear to my heart, and…with him having a way to help those veterans and first responders that have dealt with trauma, its very near and dear, so I’m hoping for max participation, lots of people coming out to help donate and raise money for not only Tazewell Today but for Tactical Retreat Unplugged,” said Michael Hoops, Mayor of Tazewell.
The fundraising goal for the Polar Plunge this year is five thousand dollars.
For more information on the event, you can check out Tazewell Today’s website or Facebook page, as well as Tactical Retreat Unplugged’s Facebook page.
