A busy Hamilton road was closed this morning following a road crash.
Police were called to an incident at around 7.35am and the road was blocked off for nearly two hours while emergency services worked at the scene.
It is not yet known if anyone was injured in the crash.
Drivers are being urged to take an alternative route to avoid disruption to their journeys.
Lanarkshire Live understands the road has now reopened but police remain at the scene controlling the traffic in both directions.
A police spokesperson said: “Carlisle Road, Hamilton has been closed following a road crash that police were called to around 7.35am on Tuesday, February 11.
“Drivers are asked to take an alternative route.”
