Seething Rangers punters subjected Philippe Clement to a foul-mouthed tirade as security moved in while irate punters turned the air blue.

The embattled 50-year-old walked the gauntlet when he left Ibrox on Sunday night in the immediate aftermath of a chastening 1-0 Scottish Cup shock for the ages against Queen’s Park. Clement is battling to save his Rangers skin with a vocal element demanding change from Patrick Stewart and the Ibrox board.

The former Brugge boss – moments after he insisted he wouldn’t quit – stepped into a storm of anger with fans hurling pointed insults in his direction. One was heard stating: “Clement, get yourself tae f***, you f***ing imposter. You dinnae know what Rangers are all about.”

Clement was then hit with a brutal claim as he walked to his car. The perpetrator screamed ‘baldy Belgian’ with a crass swear word on the end – that remark caused security to swarm in on the offending fan. The boss then continued his way out of the stadium and headed for the exit.

Rangers have yet to comment on Clement with fans waiting with baited breath over what comes next for a manager who sits 13 points behind Celtic and is out of both domestic Cups.
