The restaurant belonging to Eagles’ C.J. Gardner Johnson’s mom is now caught in the crosshairs of his beef with Travis Kelce.
The Philadelphia Eagles safety trolled Kelce for the Chiefs’ Super Bowl loss by taking a jab at the Kelce’s relationship with Taylor Swift.
Paired with a photo of himself in front of Kelce on the Super Bowl field he wrote, “Should’ve Stayed w that thick s****” in reference to Kelce’s ex girlfriend, Kayla Nicole.
Swifties and Chiefs fans were less than thrilled about the post and took the matter into their own hands, racing to leave bad reviews on his mother’s restaurant, Kings Grill.
The eatery in Rockledge, Florida was owned by Gardner Johnson’s mom, Delatron Johnson, who was reportedly bombarded with several 1-star reviews and negative remarks on the restaurant’s Yelp page.
In fact, there were so many comments that it triggered an “Unusual Activity Alert” and the reviews have been temporarily disabled. And Google seems to have removed all recent reviews from the search engine.
Neither Gardner Johnson nor Kelce has publicly commented on the situation, but Garner Johnson’s parents parents told TMZ they’re not sweating the cyber bullies at all.
Interestingly, they have no reason to because King’s Grill has actually been closed since January, they told the outlet.
Meanwhile Nicole, who dated Kelce from 2017 to 2022, was among those in the crowd at the Super Bowl proudly supporting the Eagles. In clips circulating on X, the 33-year-old sports reporter was seen chatting with the Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni and celebrating their win on the field.
Before the game Nicole told People, “This is a really cool time for football, especially considering the Chiefs are about to potentially make history with a three-peat,” she said. “So it’s an exciting time to be a football fan for sure.”
