BLUEFIELD, W.Va. – Despite the weather, United Way of Southern West Virginia is still observing a special holiday, reminding everyone that you can dial three numbers, 211, to get help with anything from childcare, veterans services and insurance, to utility payments, healthcare, food and much more.

Tuesday, Feb. 11 is National 211 Day. While the United Way of Southern West Virginia is making sure to honor the hard work that goes on behind the scenes to keep this service running, the organization is also making sure to remind everyone that this service is available 24/7, and is also available in 99% of communities.

The Executive Director of United Way of Southern West Virginia told WVVA that 211 is known as a reliable and trustworthy service:

You can reach 211 by dialing it on any mobile phone or landline, texting your zip code to 898-211, or by visiting their website.
